Friends of St. Margaret of Castello is a new ministry of Ave Maria Parish.  Its mission is to serve children and adults with special needs, along with their families, by providing opportunities for fun, friendship, learning, and to foster self-confidence, growth in holiness, and love for Jesus.

It was initiated by a group of parents who wanted to find ways to help their children enjoy meaningful activities and grow in their faith and who welcome members of the parish and the Ave Maria community.  St. Margaret Castello, who was born in the 13th centrury with multiple disabilities, is the patroness of the ministry.

At present, the Friends plans to hold monthly gatherings in the Parish Hall, which will be part social/part educational/part planning for future events and will give parents a chance to socialize as well.  If you have any questions, don't hestitate to contact team leaders Stella Perreault at srperreault(at)gmail.com of Katie Bruno at katiebruno1(at)gmail.com.
